Finding a String, Value, or Key

You can find any string, value, or key in the registry.

To find a string, value, or key:

1       In the registry list, select the key to search. To search all keys, select My Computer.

2       From the Edit menu, choose Find.

3       In the Search for box, type the text to find.

4       In the Look At area, select the items to search.

5       To match the entire search term, select the Match full string check box.

6       To consider the search term’s capitalization, select the Case Sensitive check box.

7       Click Start.
