WebEasy provides effects that you can apply to your images. To apply effects, click the Insert and Modify tab. Then, in the Modify section, click Image > Image Effects.

While this dialog box is open, you can apply multiple effects.

Preview area

This area shows samples of selected effect and the applied intensity. The thumbnail in the middle shows the current image. Click one of the samples to apply the effect at that level to the image in the center of the Preview area.

Effects

Select a type of effect and then drag the Fine-Coarse slider underneath the list to adjust the intensity of the selected effect.

Adjust RGB: Changes the image’s color by affecting the red, green, and blue values.

Brightness: Increases or decreases the image’s brightness. Use to improve overexposed photos or ones taken with inadequate lighting.

Contrast: Adjusts the contrast between light and dark in an image.

Blur: Adds a softened focus to an image.

Sharpen: Sharpens the edges in a photo.

Grayscale: Removes color information to turn a photo into a black-and-white photo.

Auto Contrast: Automatically adjusts the contrast between light and shadow by determining how to best improve the image.

Gamma: Increases the contrast in an image’s midtones without affecting its highlights or shadows.

Invert: Changes each color in the image to its complementary color (for example, blue becomes orange).

Despeckle: Removes the dust or scratches and gives the image a smoother look.

Enhance: Improves the quality of an image automatically. WebEasy automatically detects which aspects of the photo need improving and applies the required effects.

Edge Detect: Locates the edges of the elements in an image and turns the edges into outlines.

Emboss: Makes an image look like a bas relief sculpture.

Transparency: Use to specify a color to be transparent in an image, so other items are visible beneath the image. You can determine the level of transparency to apply to an image.

Color Depth: Use to change the color depth in an image: from 1-bit color (makes the image pure black and pure white) to 32-bit color (with the possibility of billions of colors). You can reduce an image’s color depth to reduce its file size.

Adjust HSI: Use to increase or decrease the hue, saturation, or intensity of an image. This can brighten up a dull photo or tone down a photo with garish colors.

Fine-Coarse slider: Adjusts the intensity of the selected effect.

Clear All: Click to remove any applied effects from the image.

Preview on page: Select to view the changes on the page, itself, to see the changes in context.
