Customizing the Quick Access Toolbar

You can customize the Quick Access toolbar to show commands that you use frequently.

         To hide (or show) a default button, click the arrow to the right of the Quick Access toolbar and click the name of the button to remove (or show) it.

         To quickly add a command to the Quick Access toolbar, right-click the button on the tab and choose Add to Quick Access Toolbar.

         To quickly remove a button from the Quick Access toolbar, right-click the button on the Quick Access toolbar and choose Remove from Quick Access Toolbar.

         To move the Quick Access toolbar, right-click the toolbar and choose Show Quick Access Toolbar Above the Ribbon or Show Quick Access Toolbar Below the Ribbon.

Note:  You can also move the toolbar by selecting or clearing the Show Quick Access Toolbar below the Ribbon check box in the Customize dialog box.

To add a command to the toolbar:

1        Click the arrow to the right of the Quick Access toolbar and choose More Commands, or right-click a button on the toolbar and choose Customize Quick Access Toolbar.

2        In the Customize dialog box, select an item from the Choose commands from list.

3        Select a command in the Commands list.

4        Click the Add button to move the selected command to the list on the right.

5        To reposition an item on the toolbar, select it in the list and click the Up or Down button as needed.

6        Click OK to save the new toolbar settings.
